About Us
The Daily After School Enrichment Program (DASEP) is an independent, non-profit organization that provides learning-based afternoon activities to students in grades K-8 at the Florida Ruffin Ridley Elementary School. in the 35+ years since the program’s inception, DASEP has become the district’s largest after school program, serving over 300 students with 30-40 class/activity choices per session. Families may choose from a wide range of classes offered five days a week during the two hours following the regular school day. We offer a range of classes including athletics, creative movement, and fitness; visual and performing arts, craft, culinary, and STEM.

Tuition Assitance
In recent years, DASEP has been able to offer generous financial assistance to all qualifying families. However, the program did not operate for 18 months in 2020-2021, due to the COVID-19 state of emergency and then paused for 10 weeks in 2022 due to the Omicron surge. Therefore, DASEP had no revenue during those periods and was unable to build its tuition assistance fund. For this reason and due to lack of reserves, DASEP can offer limited tuition assistance this session. That said, we will make every effort to assist families in need, but we appreciate your understanding, given the circumstances brought on by the pandemic.

Every Monday through Thursday:

At the school’s 2:30pm dismissal time, DASEP onsite staff members pick up K-2 students and bring them directly to their DASEP classes. Students in grades 3-8 will go independently to their classes.
