Jump into the wonderful world of comics! We will use pencils, pens, markers, and colored pencils to invent heroes, villains, and ordinary people and then draw their adventures. Write snappy dialogue and short descriptions to go along with your characters' exploits. Then, we will work together to develop your ideas and comics into a graphic novel with chapters or a comic collection. By the end of the session, you will have assembled your best comics and stories to create a graphic novel or comic book of adventures.

Karen Boutet studied painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, film, and photography at Mass. College of Art. She has been involved in organizing many community arts projects and galleries in Massachusetts.
