Note: Due to overwhelming demand, this class is NOT available to students who took cooking last year. We ask that families be considerate of students who want to try this class and weren't able to take it last year.

Does your child like working creatively with ceramics? In this class, students will have the opportunity to explore two primary ceramics media: mosaic tiles and clay. Mosaic is one of the oldest art forms in the world. Not only are mosaics beautiful and lasting, but they are a unique artistic activity that encourages fine small-motor skills and vivid imagination by using colorful tiles to create mosaics of many types. We also will hand-build two and three-dimensional clay pieces that will be fired in a kiln and then glazed. We will even incorporate some of our handmade clay pieces Into our beautiful mosaics--creating truly one-of-a-kind masterpieces!

Note:  Cost is for an 14-week class and includes very substantial supplies for clay, tiles, glazes, and kiln time.
